Maddalena Di Meo

Maddalena di Meo began her professional journey as a nurse, driven by a strong sense of vocation. Over time, however, the evolution of the healthcare system brought new frustrations. As workloads increased and teams were stretched thin, she found herself with less and less time to truly take care of her patients. This disconnect was a turning point—one that led her to reinvent herself in order to bring meaningful change to the world of health.

In 2010, she earned a DAS in Entrepreneurship and Business Development from the University of Geneva. Since 2011, she has been leading Firstmed, a company providing medical services. In 2016, she collaborated with HEIG-VD to develop a video communication tool for emergency dispatch centers. Two years later, she launched Baby & Kids Care, the first pediatric telemedicine app in Switzerland. This innovation was acquired in 2023 by OneDoc, who now offers an emergency consultation service accessible nationwide.

Throughout her career, Maddalena has questioned a management model that too often treats people as interchangeable parts—or seeks to replace them altogether. As a consultant and speaker, she advocates for a more human-centric approach to work, built on three core pillars: diversity, equity and inclusion; well-being in the workplace; and collective intelligence through co-construction.

Her mission: to re-enchant the world of work by putting people back at the heart of it.
