Geneviève Major, PhD
Geneviève Major is a researcher, executive coach, and leadership facilitator who bridges human physiology, neuroscience, emotional intelligence, and mindfulness to foster sustainable well-being and conscious leadership. As an adjunct professor at Laval University and Director of Behavioural Interventions at the Canada Excellence Research Chair on Neuroplasticity, she leads cross-disciplinary projects focused on the body-brain axis and emotional wellness.
With over 20 years of experience designing and evaluating evidence-based interventions that support health and human development, Geneviève has worked across both academic and corporate settings. She previously led research and development initiatives in the food industry, focusing on chronic disease prevention and metabolic health, before shifting her attention to the inner dimensions of human flourishing.
She is a certified executive coach (ACC ICF), Search Inside Yourself (SIY) certified teacher, and trained instructor of mindfulness and mindful eating programs. Her work supports individuals — particularly women — in reconnecting with their innate resources for clarity, positive impact, and well-being.
With over 15 years of personal mindfulness meditation practice and retreats, Geneviève’s own inner journey informs her presence as a facilitator. She guides others not just with tools, but with embodied experience — creating spaces where neuroscience meets practice, and where growth is both grounded and transformative.
As a speaker and facilitator, Geneviève brings warmth, clarity, and scientific rigor. Her sessions combine theory and practice, helping participants apply cutting-edge neuroscience in their everyday lives to navigate stress, cultivate inner leadership, and enhance longevity — physically, mentally, and emotionally.
At LongHER, Geneviève will share how attention and neuroplasticity are powerful levers for emotional wellness and connected living at every age.
